CO 2 Lot Of Five Early Serving Pieces C. 1880: Four of these pieces are salt spoons, two are in a matching Gorham pattern and are 2-3/4" in length. Another has a tapered plain handle and still the fourth piece has a foliate and long leaf pattern on the handle and has a single monogram. These four spoons are sterling silver and have a total weight of .46 oz. The fifth and last piece is a 5-1/8" long Rogers Brothers silver plated caster spoon, caster spoons are quite unusual, it has a early fiddle tipped design handle. CO 3 Lot Of Four Different Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons C. 1920s & Up: Three of the spoons are made by Reed & Barton and incorporate a different foliate pattern on the tip of each handle. CO 4 Lot Of Five Mother-Of-Pearl Handled Butter Spreaders C. 1890 & Up: Four of these butter spreaders match and are made by Jennings Bros., they are 6" long and have a tapered mother-of-pearl handle. The fifth knife is matching in design but 7" long and by a different maker. All of the knives include a decorative sterling silver band with raised foliate designs. CO 7 Signed Hand Carved Ivory Statue C. 1930s: This excellent condition piece (small chip by the foot) has extensive detail on the oversize robe that this heavy set Oriental gentleman is wearing, right down to the fan that is clasped in his left hand. Individual toes are also easy to identify, overall size is 1-7/8" in height, 1-1/2" across and stands 1" in depth. A beautiful hand carved toned early ivory piece. CO 8 Lady's Silver-Toned Hinged Expandable Frame Purse C. 1905: This was a very popular style bag immediately after the turn-of-the-century. The mesh-style body of the bag is made of circular links and the round cap is hinged. Upon opening this cap, the throat of the bag expands so that the capacity of the mesh bag can be utilized. CO 9 Pre-Turn-Of-The-Century Celluloid Dresser Jar C. 1880s: This 2-3/4" diameter dark-brown piece is 1" tall with a removable non-hinged top. The top, bottom and sides are all decorated with a circular grooving similar to that which you would find on a vinyl record album. CO 10 Eye Catching Marcasite Beaded Lady's Evening Hand Bag C. 1905: The sea-shaped frame is highly adorned with leaf and stem patterns and measures 5" across. The length of the bag is 5-1/2" and this is measured from the bottom of the bag to the top of the bypass closure knobs. Upon opening the bag that is covered with hundreds of faceted marcasites, one notices a medium-green fabric liner that has a multi-flower/color border that follows the shape of the frame itself. CO 11 Sterling Silver Cigarette Case By Elgin C. 1930s: Stamped inside "Made By Elgin American Manufacturing Co.," this form fitting curved case measures 3-3/8 x 3-1/8". The front has parallel engraved lines with a triple monogram and the back has a plain polished finish. Button release of the hinged case shows that each side of the case has a spring retained arm to keep a product inside in position, serial no. 2077698. CO 12 Lot Of Seven Service Pins C. 1960s: This collection includes 5 Mason pins, one Elk and one Shriners pin. Four of the Mason and the Shriners pins are in 10K gold. Four of the Mason pins measures 1/4" across and are in both yellow gold and white gold. The Elk measures 1/2" and the Shriners also 1/2". CO 13 Bronze Metal From The Paris World Exposition C. 1878: This is quite a fantastic piece considering it is also in its original presentation case. The round wood presentation case is blue velvet lined with the outside being covered in a leather textured maroon covering. The hinged case has a button release and holds securely this 2-5/8" diameter bronze metal that is 3/16" thick, designed by J. C. Champlain." CO 14 Vintage Wire Rimmed Eye Glasses C. 1930s: The oval eye wires attach to a curved bridge that does not need to use nose pads for the reason the design incorporates comfortable rap around end pieces. The flexible temples are made of comfort cable and the silvertone pair of eye wear is in excellent condition. CO 16 Lot Of Four Silver Teaspoons C. 1915 & Up: The smallest spoon measures 3-1/8" in length and is definitely used to dispense salt and features a ribbed design running the length of the handle with a swirl pattern on the handle tip, the bowl of the spoon also has a lid motif. The two matching demitasse spoons are made of .950 silver and features yellow-tone bowls with a tapered rounded tip handle and raised multi-bloom flower, leaf and stem motif. The fourth spoon which is the largest and measures 4" in length is a souvenir demitasse spoon from Alabama, the bowl has an engraved name "Mobile" and the tapered handle on both sides has designs relative to that state. CO 19 Matched Set Of Ladies Ball Point Pens With Perfumed Ink C. 1960s: In the original ivory-toned box that measures 6" x 2-1/8" x 3/4". You open the case to experience a black plastic barreled pens that have a ornate foliate etched design done in 14K yellow gold. The pens are definitely made for ladies for the fact that they do not have pocket clips, one is marked "Arpege" and the other is marked "Channel No. 5" on the gold-tone cap. Originally when these pens were produced, when you wrote with them, they gave off the scent of these very popular perfumes. CO 20 Lot Of Four Round Dresser Saucers C. 1920s & Up: Start with two matching saucers marked on the back "Dana," these non silver saucers are 3" in diameter and in the center of the concave saucer is a abstract or a foliate design that has been deeply stamped. The third saucer is 3-1/8" in diameter and made by Rogers, this sterling silver piece has a continuous ring of flower blooms as a border and is quite attractive. The fourth saucer and the largest is 4-1/4" in diameter and made by Manchester Silver Co., it is deeper than the other three and is has a plain polished finish in a toned as found condition. CO 21 Lot Of Four Assorted Writing Instruments C. 1950s & Up: In this assortment there are two Shaeffer cartridge style fountain pens with non gold nibs. One has a medium-blue plastic barrel with the other having a sky-blue plastic barrel. The third writing instrument, also made by Shaeffer, is a mechanical pencil, this traditional pencil is in black plastic with yellow gold-tone clip, band and tip. The fourth item is a Wearever 60s style fountain pen with non gold nib. CO 22 Interesting Lot Of Two Vintage Mechanical Pencils C. 1920s & Up: The first is a sterling silver pencil by Eversharp, it is a propel pen which weighs .7 oz. and has been personalized. The plain polished pencil also includes a pocket clip, the second is a lady's pencil with chain bale in YGF made by Perfect Point. This measures 4-1/8" long and has geometric engraved designs along the barrel, being a lady's pencil of course, it has no clip. CO 23 Lot Of Four Vintage Fountain Pens C. 1920s & Up: Two of the pens in this collection are Parker duofolds in green marble and measure 5-1/2" closed, one cap has a chip, one pen has a Parker lucky curve nib while the other has a Parker duofold pen mark nib. The third pen is a Wellshape stainless 14K gold plated nib, mini-lever fill in silver, green and yellow gold-tone lever and clip/cap ring, measures 3-1/4" in length closed. The last pen is made by Conklin, it is a "self filling" with a patent date of July 1900 on it, it is missing its lever and made out of black hard rubber with decorative designs and is 5-1/4" long. CO 24 Pretty Sterling Silver Signed Guilloche Enamel Enhanced Individual Salt Bowl C. 1940s: Marked on the underside of the base is "Denmark" and the initials "V. B." This tapered bowl measures 1-7/8" in diameter and has a height of 3/4". The inside of the bowl has an uninterrupted ring design of vines in multi-link patterns over which a opaque clear guilloche enamel is applied. This enamel covers the entire inside of the bowl and makes it look like a very opaque sterling silver color, Near Mint condition and weighs .6 oz. CO 25 Pre-Turn-Of-The-Century 18K Yellow-Gold Eye Glasses C. 1895: This pair of Near Mint condition yellow gold eye glasses has 1" x 1-3/8" oval-shaped lens area. The glasses are held in place by the use of the arched bridge. VF and flexible yellow gold wire temples with wrap around ends. CO 26 Interesting Lot Of Nine Different Early Photographs C. 1840s & Up: This collection includes one Daguerreotype which measures 2-1/2" x 3". It is a picture of a young man that is quite formally dressed, looks to be of a proudly noted family. These are highly responsive to light, interesting to look at. The other eight photographs are of what we would call the tin types or ferro types, these range in size from 1-3/8" x 1-5/8" ovals to six larger rectangular shaped photos that measure 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". They include group shot of two to four people and this collection even includes two solo pictures of individual infants, this usually insinuated that they were from a well to do family. CO 27 Collectible Four Blade Knife By Camillus Made In New York C. 1950s: This black hard plastic handled knife measures 3-1/2" closed, two of the four blades are standard knife blades, one being approx. half the length of the other. CO 28 Hand Carved Wooden Snuff Box With Hinged Cover C. 1890s: In a popular shape of a shoe that measures 1-3/16" x 3-3/8", this medium-brown wood snuff box features a hand painted portrait of a young woman. This lady in native costume is featured in full length and just below the word "Bern," the capital of Switzerland, is denoted. Excellent condition, hinge needs repair and the top has been repaired. CO 29 Beautiful Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoon With Plique A Jour Accents C. 1905: This 4" long mint condition spoon has the plique a jour not only in the bowl of the spoon but also in the tear drop tip of the handle. Plique a jour is the use of transparent enamel between two thin strips of metal that have been soldered together to form a design very similar to what stained glass looks like. To find it done twice on one spoon is quite rare, it has beautiful yellows, reds, cobalt-blues, greens and turquoises. CO 31 Lot Of Two Sterling Silver Collectible Teaspoons C. 1930s & Up: Both of the spoons are in Near Mint condition and range in length from 5-3/8" to 5-3/4". One spoon features, along the entire length of the handle, may bells flower designs with a high raised relief, these are quite attractive to plant lovers. The second spoon is one that denotes "St. Augustine, Florida" in the bowl of the place setting. It says "The City Gates" and shows the walls along the front of the handle that is marked "Florida" with multiple flower designs. An eagle with his wings spread, palm tree, alligator and also a pineapple. Upon turning the spoon over, you will notice another eagle with wings spread with a shield design on its breast area and above stating "E Pluribus Unum." CO 32 Sterling Silver Collector Spoon From Texas C. 1909: Engraved very beautifully in the bowl of this mint condition spoon is the wording "Dallas Texas" with the date 10-30-09. The front of the handle has the decoration of a rodeo rider lassoing that of a long horn steer that seems determined not to surrender easily. Below the steer is the words "Roped Up," upon turning over this 5-1/4" long spoon, you notice the top of the spoon handle also has the reverse design of the same cowboy and horse along with a prairie scene below, mint condition and weighs 1.1 oz. CO 33 Highly Decorated Sterling Silver Collectors Spoon C. 1909: This 5-1/8" long spoon features designs that reflect the State of Colorado on both sides of the handle. The front of the handle has a prospector with mule and also the train that takes you to the summit of Pikes Peak. Upon turning the mint condition spoon over, there is also a design for the Gateway Garden of the Gods and Seven Falls. CO 34 5" x 7" Glass Plate Negative Of A Soldier C. 1910: These glass plates were mostly used during the years of 1880 to 1920 and come in various sizes. This is a 5 x 7 which is a medium size plate, perhaps one of the nicest characteristics of these plate negatives is their durability. A glass plate is of all types of negatives is the most stable and easy to store with the exception of breakage. CO 35 Single Glass Plate Negative Of A Community Band C. 1920s: This marching band with baseball equipment stacked in front is on a 5" x 7" glass plate (one corner chipped). The head of the drum is denoted Knights of St. Theodore, Com. No. 197. The twenty-four people that are caught in this photograph seem to be in a very whimsical nature. CO 36 Handsome Sterling Silver Wood Lined Cigarette Case C. 1950s: The box measures 6-1/2' x 3-7/8' x 1-3/4" high and features a single Oriental coin mounted on the top. The non- hinged top is lined inside with black onyx wood as well as the bottom portion of this Near Mint condition box. This as found toned box features a two section bottom that would be suitable for holding cigarettes and/or card decks. CO 37 Vintage Tin For Lipton Tea Bags C. 1915: This hinged box measures 6" x 3-1/4" x 1-1/8" and is embellished with writing on all sides including the bottom. The top denotes "Lipton Orange Pekoe" tea bags purchased by tea merchants appointed to the King and Queen of Italy, King George IV and King Alphonso. Opening up the box tells you how to successfully brew a cup of tea. The capacity of this box is noted on the outside as 15 Lipton tea bags, excellent as found condition. CO 38 Complete Lenk Automatic Blow Torch In Original Box C. 1930s: The top is embellished with writing about this wonderful new style blow torch that has a patent date in 1929. It is simple in operation and constructed to last for years. This double cylinder-style blow torch that uses denatured alcohol for fuel comes with an original box and also the original instructions. CO 39 Draughtsmen's Protractor By Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Co. C. 1905: This very unusual protractor has a patent date of December 2, 1890 and is ideal for laying out tapers, dividing circles and laying out geometric figures. This comes complete with original box, the outside leather covering is missing but the inside is velvet lined. Also included is a set of tables for dividing circles and laying out geometric figures. This was a model protractor No. 510 made by a well known company from Providence, Rhode Island. Near Mint condition and hard-to-find in the original box. $250.00 (Click here to view photo)
CO 40 Lot Of Three Gentleman's Straight Razors C. 1910 & Up: The first razor is marked on both sides of the blade, one side is marked "Winthrop Made In Germany" and the other side is marked "M. Oberhauser Boston, Mass." This is protected by a black curved hard plastic handle that measures 9-3/4" open and 5-3/4" closed. The second razor is marked "Challenge Razor Works From Bridgeport, Conn.," has a dark brown bakelite handle, measures 9-5/8" open and 5-1/2" closed. The last razor which is quite unusual has a bamboo designed ivory handle, made by Huffa & Co. Philadelphia, Pa. The German made blade is only 5/16" in height, measures 9-1/8" open and 5-1/4" closed. Sterling Silver Flatware C. 1895: This assortment of flatware is in a very popular colonial pattern, the lot consists of nine cream soup spoons, eleven place forks, six teaspoons and twelve dessert spoons which are also used as cereal spoons. The dessert spoons do have gold-tone bowls. CO 42 Dualoupe Magnifier By Bausch & Lomb C. 1930s: This is a very interesting magnifier in the fact that it actually has an individual magnifying lens for each eye. Either one can be brought up out of the way upon the wearer discretion. The frame of the dualoupe is constructed of nickel silver in the bridge which is fully adjustable and is that of aluminum. All parts, with exception of the bridge, are rhodium plated for a bright finish. These are actual glasses with wrap around temples so that you can even put your own prescription in them. CO 43 Architect's Bamboo Ruler Set In Original Box C. 1930s: On the top of the 13-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 1-5/8" box is marked "Micronta." Upon opening up the hinged box, there are six different full length rulers made of bamboo, they are denoted in 1", 1/2", 1/3", 1/4", 1/5" and 1/6" increments. The box not only holds the six full length rulers but also has six shorter rulers with the same increments and these are only 2" in length for smaller measuring. Absolute mint condition, the box is sectioned to protect each ruler from rubbing against each other. Quite an unusual early set of architect's tools. CO 44 Lady's Black Umbrella With Fancy Handle C. 1920s: The 38" diameter canapˇ is topped with a 3-3/8" long chromed ferrule with a bullet end. The 9-1/2" long tapered handle that measures 7/8" at the handle tip is made of brass and decorated with vertical lines of multiple leaf motifs, also included are four green foiled back faceted stones that measure 3/4" x 1" and are bezel set. CO 45 Wooden Tripod By Eastman Kodak Company C. 1930s: This tripod has three section wooden legs that slide and vary in length from 15" to 38-1/2" with fold over locks that are in a brass tone. It comes complete with an original Kodak black leather case, the case is in poor condition, both ends are missing. This case measures 2" x 2-1/4" x 14-3/4" and the tripod itself is in excellent condition and the brass hinges are marked "Feather Tripod Eastman Kodak Co. CO 46 Lot Of Three Glass Plate Negatives C. 1890s: These three different negatives are taken at the same gala, the men and women in any of the negatives are quite formally dressed and seem to be enjoying themselves. The establishment looks to be very formal as well. These negatives are 5" x 7" and are in Near Mint condition, they come in the original Kodak plate box. CO 47 Kodak Brownie Junior Camera C. 1936: This model is known as a Six-16 Brownie junior box-style camera measures 5-1/2" x 3-1/4" x 5-1/8" high and only has one shutter speed. View finders can be found not only on the top but also on the side of this very popular model, uses 16 size Kodak film. This excellent condition piece has a leatherette texture which makes holding onto it much easier. CO 48 Kodak Brownie Starlit Camera In Original Box With Accessories C. 1957: This was a very popular view finder camera and comes in the original box with owners manual. Also in the original box is the proper midget flash holder with lumaclad reflector. To complete this Near Mint condition package is a box of 11 Sylvania M2B blue dot flash bulbs and an unused size 6X 127 film. A role of film even exists still in the camera, subjects unknown. CO 49 Early Stereoscope Made Of Wood C. 1870: Measuring 12-1/2" long and 6-1/2" from tip of handle to the top of the viewer, this wonderful Near Mint condition piece is made of walnut embossed. In the body of the viewer itself are six different patent dates with the earliest one being in the 1860's. The lenses are scratch free and in exceedingly good shape. The viewer comes complete with one photo card and that being of Saratoga Springs, New York which happens to be the race track there. Their concept is by using two of the same pictures, this instrument blends the pair into one image with an almost 3-D effect (depth). CO 51 Colorful Gravel Wagon Iron Toy C. 1910: The wagon being a bright fire engine red with the wheel and the harness apparatus in green, a black horse with the man being a beige color makes for quite a colorful combination. Measures 10-1/2" long x 2-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" tall, this was a toy to simulate a sand and gravel spreader in the early pre-turn-of-the-century days. This Near Mint condition piece actually does work by throwing the lever, the bottom drops out of the bed of the wagon to allow whatever the contents to be spread. CO 52 Lot Of Two Gilt Wood Framed Pictures C. 1890: The overall size of these highly adorned frames is 11-1/2" x 13-1/2" with the opening for any picture or photo you might want to put in being that of 6-1/4" x 8-1/2". CO 55 Fashionable Fully Beaded Lady's Evening Bag C. 1930s: Measuring 5-3/4" long with a 2" fold over flap that is also beaded and snap closure, this bag is in Near Mint condition. The beads used are silver white in color and are embellished with an embroidery curved shape and multi colors, both in stem and flower designs. CO 56 Vivid Green Oil Lamp C. 1905: A very beautiful transparent Irish green that stands 6" tall with a 5-1/2" diameter at the widest point of the bulbous body. The bottom of this green lamp also has 3 ft. that are made of the same green glass that have been molded hen the body was formed. On top of this stands a 8-1/2" tall chimney that measures as wide as 3-3/4". The top of the chimney has a reeded textured edge. CO 57 Rare Handmade Horn & Sterling Beaker C. 1840s: This very unusual piece stands 5-1/2" tall and measures 3-3/8" in diameter at the top. The tapered beaker features a 1/2" wide sterling band that acts as the rim on the top. CO 58 Ceramic Mug By Lord Nelson Pottery C. 1970s: This 4-3/4" tall drinking vessel is 4-1/4" in diameter at the widest point of the base. A ring of floral blooms encircle the base area. Upon the body of the mug are two cartoons. The mug is easy to use with its large handle. The handle and rim of the mug have a chrome like glaze. CO 59 Handmade Ceramic Mug With Golfing Motif C. 1930s: Standing 4-3/4" tall and measuring 4-1/2" in diameter at the flared base, this mug is in mint condition. The easy to grab handle is in the design of a fully equipped golf bag, the body of the glazed ceramic mug shows a man playing golf with a wonderful approach within a matter of a foot or two from the flag stick. The colors of the mugs are golden tan and earth tone brown, mint condition, bottom is marked "Dartmouth Pottery Devon Handmade In England" with their trademark. CO 60 Cute Brass Teapot C. 1910: Measuring 5" tall and 5-1/4" in diameter, this teapot features a fold over brass handle with ribbed wooden grip. The removable top is also crowned with a black wood knob to prevent one from getting burned upon removal. The inside has been galvanized coated and comes complete with a screen to keep the tea leaves from being poured into the drink being served, Near Mint condition.
