This 10 jewel gilt cylinder movement carries gold Louis XIV hands, they center a porcelain dial marked with gold minute dots and black Roman hour chapters. The case is beautifully designed with seven diamonds forming a floral motif on the matte finish front cover, the back is plain. This timepiece comes with a beautiful 10K floral pin which measures 24mm in diameter. The finely detailed pin features a small diamond at center.

The heavy silver case is engine turned around a blank circular frame on the back cover. The porcelain dial is unique with an upper Roman chapter, a lower date dial, a center start/stop sweep hand and outer 5-second calibrations. The center sweep mechanism is activated from a button located on the case rim.

A cylinder escapement is featured on the Le’Pine style gilt bride movement. The movement comes in a slender profile silver case which is smooth on the back and reeded on the outer rim. The engine turned silver dial is beautifully marked with a central minute track and a filigree blue steel minute hand. A subsidiary seconds track and hand appears at the base of the dial and a jump hour digital numeral appears in a window at the top of the dial.

Very rare, this fascinating timepiece features a 15 jewel gilt movement with a cylinder escapement. Set atop the movement, there is a independent gilt circular frame holding the barometer mechanism. The silver case is smooth finished, it has a rotating front bezel to mark the barometer setting. The barometer settings appear on a silver disc which encircle the central white porcelain dial. The center dial is marked with Roman chapters and blue spade pointers.

The rare digital features a porcelain dial which is signed “Patent” above the trademark with the initials “G. T.” A subsidiary track appears at the base of the dial and at center there are silver windows with hour and minute jump discs.

This distinctive case comes with an interesting reeded coin design which forms the side edges of the front bezel, the back cover and the rim. The front bezel of the case is set with deep royal-blue enamel which outlines fancy gold swirl patterns. Blue enamel also outlines similar leaf patterns on the back cover. The back cover is decorated with vertical striping and a deco inspired oval frame which is uninitialed. The case is signed “Movado” and it carries a strong running 3/4 plate nickel movt. The “Movado” signed movement is also marked “15 Jewels 4 Adjustments.” The “Movado” signature appears on the super rich gold dial. The dial is marked with black Arabic chapters and is centered by Breguet moon-style hands.

It carries a rose colored dial with solid rose-gold leaf hands and rose-gold Arabic chapters. a black minute track also marks the dial. The Patek case bears the number 418980. This heavy rose-gold two-piece case is engraved with a “Outstanding Salesmanship Ability” inscription dated December 15, 1943 on the back cover.

The inner cuvette is signed “Patek Philippe & Cie Chronometro Gondolo.” The ultra sharp gilt bridge movement features wolfs tooth winding gears, beautiful extra-large ruby jewels, a solid gold train, and a circular disc regulator. The 18 jewel movement is fronted by the original solid rose-gold spade pointers and a beautifully marked porcelain dial which is fully signed “Patek Philippe & Cie Geneva Chronometro Gondolo.” Roman chapters, a black minute track and black 5-minute numerals are also presented.

This fabulous Patek Philippe comes in a very ornate fully engraved hunters case. The case is chased with wonderful swirling leaf, vine and flower ornaments. It comes with a small initialed crest on the back cover and a front cover which a is enhanced with raised relief gold overlay monogram. The case opens to reveal a perfect porcelain dial which is single sunk with Roman chapters, a black minute track and rose-gold spade pointers. The early and collectible 3/4 plate 15 jewel nickel movement is signed “Patek Philippe & Co. Geneva.” it comes with a circular disc regulator, a compensated bi-metallic balance wheel and a straight line lever escapement. The inner gold cuvette of the case is signed “Patek Philippe & Ca. The double sunk porcelain dial is signed “Deutsch Uhrenfabrikation Glashutte a Lange & Sohne.” It comes with beautiful solid gold Louis XIV hands, Arabic chapters and a black minute track. The “Lange” signed case is plain polished on the back and the outer rim, it features the initials “MOVT: & B” in an overlay design on the front cover. This fine timepiece comes with an original certificate from the Lange factory.

This fully jeweled 3/4 plate movement comes with numerous patent dates and the “Waltham” signature. It carries a unique fancy fraternal dial decorated with a colorful coat-of-arms, a cross and crown motif and a name “Guy Woods” which appears below the 15-minute register. The dial is centered by blue spade pointers and it is shaded light-green with ruby-red accents near the black Arabic hour chapters. Gold semi-circle frames and flowers also add to the color of this unique dial. The screw back/bezel case is nicely engine turned.

This highly ornamented nickel bridge movement comes with gold jewel settings, a diamond endstone, a star-shaped micro-metric regulator, a gold center wheel and the “Maximus” signature. The 21 jewel adjusted movement comes in an original double hinged back case which is finished with a ribbon script monogram on the back cover. The unique and unusual double sunk porcelain dial is marked with blue Arabic hour chapters rather than the typical black numerals. It also features a black minute track and the signature “American Waltham U. S. A.” at center.

The ultra-heavy gold hunters case is engine turned on both sides, reeded along the outer rim and finished with an uninitialed crest which centers the front.

#21. WALTHAM EARLY DENNISON, HOWARD & DAVIS KEYWIND POCKET WATCH

The “Dennison, Howard & Davis” signature appears on this scarce very early Model 57 Waltham keywind. The movement comes with heavily engraved single footed balance bridge, a steel uncut 3-arm balance wheel. The hairspring is under sprung and the movement features large window-style clear sapphire jewels in screw down settings with blue steel screws. The heavy silver case is decorated with leaf patterns on the outer edges and a small crest which centers the front cover, a zig zag pattern decorates the outer rim. The porcelain dial is unsigned but marked with Roman hour chapters, a black minute track and heavy blue spade pointers. Extremely early and extremely rare!

#22. CHESHIRE WATCH CO. (APPLETON) RARE THE NORTHWESTERN SPECIAL 21 JEWEL RAILROAD MODEL POSSIBLY ONE-OF,-A-KIND POCKET WATCH

This truly unique and ultra-rare American timepiece is the only one currently known to exist. The 3/4 plate movement is signed “The Northwestern Special Chicago U. S. A. 21 Jewels Adjusted.” It features ruby cap jewels in screw down settings. The rare porcelain dial is marked with Roman hour chapters and is also marked as the “Northwestern Special” within a circular trademark at center. The double hinged back case is engine turned around a large leaf and initial crest on the back cover and the outer rim comes with a coin edge design.

The Cheshire Watch Co. was formed in 1883 by George J. Capewell along with D. A. A. Buck who was the original designer of the Longwind Waterbury. Basic production was approximately 200 watches per day. The factory closed in 1890 going into receivership. The receiver had 3,000 movements finished in 1892. In 1901 O. E. Bell purchased the machinery and had it shipped to Appleton, Wisconsin where he had formed the Remington Watch Co. This Northwestern special 21 jewel is exceedingly rare. Model 3 Cheshire’s, such as this example, were typically low jeweled and we have never seen one with railroad markings and 21 jewels.

The rarity of this timepiece lies not only in the fact that it has the reversible patented center pinion but that it is presented in the original 18K Gold, gold case. Examples in original gold hunters cases are exceedingly rare. This fine example is signed “A. T. & Co.” inside the covers of the hunters case. The inner cuvette is engraved with a presentation inscription dated January 1, 1868. The case is engine turned on both sides, it comes with a finely beaded and reeded outer edge and rim and a small uninitialed shield which centers the front cover. The porcelain dial is original and signed “American Watch Co.” with tall Roman hour chapters and blue spade pointers. The ultra-rare gilt 15 jewel 3/4 plate movement is signed “Appleton Tracy & Co. Waltham, Mass.” At center, the mechanism is signed “Reversible Center Pinion Patented November 30, 1858.” The movement is in very nice condition with a heavily engraved balance bridge and a bi-metallic balance wheel with gold timing screws.

The repeat mechanism is activated from a gold slide positioned on the rim of the case. The case is smooth on the outer areas and finished with an overlay Gothic-style monogram on the back cover. The inner gold cuvette is plain polished. The dial comes with extra-fancy Arabic hour chapters, blue spade pointers and a black minute track.

#25. E. MATHEY TISSOT & CO. FIRST QUALITY MINUTE REPEATER POCKET WATCH

This extremely high-grade 36 jewel nickel bridge movement is marked “Adjusted,” it is also signed “G. W. F. Russell Philadelphia” on the main bridge. The movement comes with straight line damaskeening, it is jeweled through the repeat hammer pivots and it features a swans neck micro-metric regulator and a high-quality straight line lever escapement. The porcelain dial is signed “E. Mathey Tissot & Co.” It is beautifully marked with black Arabic hour chapters, red numerals within the subsidiary seconds dial and gold Louis XIV hands. The heavy gold case is engraved with a date of “1901” on the inner gold cuvette. The back features a ribbon script monogram. Superior quality!

Meylan Switzerland.” The beautifully conditioned 31 jewel nickel bridge movement is also signed “Circa. H. Meylan,” it is marked “7 Adjustments No. 6009.” The movement is finished with straight line damaskeening and it features a highly sophisticated straight line lever escapement and a compensated bi-metallic balance wheel with micro-metric regulator.

The white porcelain interior dial is single sunk with double spade blue pointers, Roman hour chapters, a black minute track and black 5-minute numerals. The sophisticated half quarter-hour repeating movement features thirty-two ruby jewels. The gilt bridge model comes with a steel escape wheel, a straight line lever escapement with compensated bi-metallic balance wheel and a repeat mechanism which is jeweled through the hammers and is activated from a gold slide bar positioned on the rim of the case.

The porcelain dial is signed “David Taylor London” with Roman numerals and blue butterfly form hands. This beautiful half plate gilt movement is signed “James Duncan 33 Old Bond Street, London No. 5988.” The movement features a lateral Massey style lever escapement and a steel polished 3-arm uncut balance wheel. This fascinating timepiece features a white porcelain dial with Roman chapters and outer 1/5-second calibrations. The fancy center sweep second hand is activated from the crown. The dial is signed “Luis Correa Morales.” It has a subsidiary seconds dial positioned between 7 and 9 o’clock. The case is also unusual, that back cover features a classic overlay Gothic monogram in the enamel colors of white, blue and ruby-red. The inside of the back cover features a superior quality enameled portrait of a young lady in a green dress. She is shown wearing a portrait brooch with a picture of a gentleman. The 3/4 plate gilt movement features eighteen ruby jewels and a side lever escapement. The movement is signed “J. Sewill 61 South Castle Street Liverpool, 30 Corn Hill London.” The movement features and inclined winding system typical of the Nicole Nielsen-style abashes. The minute repeat mechanism is activated from a slide on the rim of the case.

This fabulous timepiece is signed “French Royal Exchange London No. 22624” on the gilt 3/4 plate movement. The movement is fully jeweled to the center and it features cap jewels on the escape wheel pivot and the pallet. The movement is controlled by a side lever Massey-style escapement. It features a bi-metallic balance wheel with gold timing screws which is supported by a diamond endstone. The dial is single sunk with Roman chapters, a black minute track and blue spade pointers. The dial is signed “French Royal Exchange London 22624.” The very heavy gold case is finished with a classic overlay Gothic monogram on the front cover, the inner cuvette is gold and plain polished and the back cover is also plain polished. The repeat mechanism is activated from a slide bar positioned on the rim of the case.

This fascinating and rare high-grade English made minute repeater movement is signed “Ollivant & Botsford.” The main barrel features a top covering which is marked “Makers To The Admiralty.” The movement is fully jeweled to the center wheel and it features cap jewels on the pallet fork pivot and the escape wheel pivot. The balance mechanism is supported by a diamond endstone. The bi-metallic balance wheel comes with gold timing screws and a blue steel hairspring with over coil which is free sprung to the bridge. The superior timepiece also carries a unique 30-hr. wind indicator which is shown at the 12 o’clock position on the white porcelain dial. Roman chapter, blue spade pointers and a black minute track are also presented along with a subsidiary seconds track at 6 o’clock. The demi-hunter case comes with a heavy gold inner cuvette which is plain polished. The back cover is set with a classic overlay Gothic monogram and blue enameled Roman hour chapters surround the front demi-hunter window opening on the front lid.

International orders: are shipped via UPS only. UPS is the only way to ship an international package insured.  Customers that request us to ship an International package by United States Postal System (USPS) must be aware that Ashland will not be held responsible if a package is lost.
